The Harmony of Oolong
Not everything that meets midway is balanced, or has harmony in its duality - unlike Teamonk’s Oolong Teas. The slightly fermented and semi-oxidized tealeaves of Camellia Sinensis form a tea that is a magical mix between black and green tea.
Like fine wines, every Oolong is treated differently, with varying levels of oxidation ranging from 8% to 50%, with various flavour profiles, some leaning more towards green and some closer to malty black teas. After which, our teas go through the artisanal shaping of curling, rolling or twisting into thin strands, which modify their colour, aroma and appearance.
