Diti Black Tea

Diti Black Tea

A veritable aristocrat of the Darjeeling, this tea is a singular twirled long leaf, withered and hand rolled in an artisan factory. The flavour is subtle, yet distinctive, which of course credits to the "two leaves and a bud" which make up the crop.

About the Region

Darjeeling

The pristine Himalayan air and rich soil at an altitude of 6,000 feet makes Darjeeling home to the most intriguing teas with even more exciting combinations. Darjeeling teas are known worldwide as the ‘champagne of teas’. This tea growing area has the finest selection of tea clones from the best tea growing regions of the world.

My Story

Harvest of the tail end of the second flush season, when the leaves become softer, they boast of a sweeter aroma and a more subtle flavour than the typical Darjeeling second flush, this tea justifies its name "Diti", which means the "King" in Sanskrit. Diti tea is born of these leaves, carefully plucked to retain the “two leaves and a bud” for the entire yield.

The tea leaves are nurtured by the cool, refreshing winds of the snowy Himalayan range. The leaves are treated in an organic process which not only adds to the flavour but also enhances its health benefits.
